Providence

Providence is the 4th chapter in the Shackleton series. It is based on the event in Shackleton autobiography South when he and two other men trek across uncharted South Georgia Island in the Antarctic in hope of reaching a whaling station on the other side.

The sewn flags spell out various phrases from the book that reference when their existential journey surpassed their physical one. The four ceramic bell shapes play 4 piano compositions: A Call to Exigency, a Call to Reckoning, a Call for Mourning and a Call for Providence.
